A Tree's dance

When the sky opens
 his shower,
trees dances
 to his roar and light,
washes her dusts and sins
in the heavenly shower,
she dances and dances,
finally exhausted
she fell down
on her knees
tired of love,
separation
and excitement.
To ease her,
he stopped his
shower of dews
and showered
showers of light and hope
For her to continue living....

Life flows....

Life flows as a river through the hills
slowly as ever,
tranquil as ever.
Sometimes rocks placed on the path,
sometimes contracts in the course,
it falls and flows
and falls and flows.

Sometimes  have time to enjoy the winds that touches
Sometimes fall hard on the rock and cry
as a river our life flows
our love flows
our hope flows

For years it has flowed.
Flowed towards uncertainity
have no choice
except to bare the current
Don't know when the end will come?
what the end would be?

We flow....
Our hope continues to flow...
Our life continues to flow...
Our love continues to flow...
as a river through the hills.

The nature's song

Shut your ears if you want
Close your eyes if you want
Tie yourself to your possessions
Chain yourself to your mundaness

For beyound the freedom and illusion
the nature writes poetry
She sings many a beautiful melody
The best music man has never heard.

Hope that you don't read her verses
Hope that you don't listen to her
pastel tunes
For it is easy for you to fall into her trap
Then no one can hold your strap.

So chain yourself to easy slavery of mundanity
So you can free yourself from freedom
so loose yourself from the bending
that tells you to listen to her strumming

The safest keep
is the one the prisioner disbelieves.

I belong there with the trees...

Trees, they stand here and there
Brimming with silence, bare
They speak no mean words
Nor do they cut with swords
sharp as  a frown.
Oh! I belong there with the trees.

They clap and dance
to the song of the nature
Not thinking of the future
perfectly orchestrated by the wind
with the hands together bind.
Oh! I belong there with the trees.

They are wrapped and hugged
with creepers and climbers\
They may squiggle and wiggle
to the tickling of the creepers growth
But loved the creepers warmth.
Oh! I belong there with the trees.

They drink and breathe
the first drops that falls
The unmarked air that flows
with joy and bliss
And makes me miss.
Oh! I belong there with the trees.

I took that photo too at a hill station in Tamil Nadu and wrote this poem seeing the same scene.

Only God can create trees.

There stands the tree,
proud and tall
wise beyond all.
Has seen many changes,
many unexpected,
doing as expected.

Rooted to the ground
He wants to leap and bound.
So he grows into the sky,
hoping to touch the sky some day.

With patience in his leaves
perseverance in his branches
Longer he breathes
and hope to be free some day.

Looks at God all day
and lifts his leafy arms to pray.
His devotion, the purest.
constantly, he prays.

I have never seen
a poem lovely as a tree.
Poems are made by fools like me.
But only God can create trees.

I wrote this poem inspired by the majesty of trees on a vacation to kodaikannal a hill station in Tamil Nadu. The photo is also shot my me.:)

To a squirrel

Come play with me
Why should you run
through the shaking trees
As though I 'd a gun
To kill you?
when all I would do
Is to scratch your head
touch your tail
and let you go.....

Through Someone Else's Eyes

On a horrid summer's day I secluded myself away
Only to be drawn out to the light by nature at play
A Butterfly sailed peacefully and made me envious
with its elegant dance entrancing the innocence in me.

The butterfly came fluttering carelessly
Came gently around me with the breeze
She sat on the smooth petals of a flower
Moved from one flower to another gracefully

When she drifted near me close enough to hear
I said I would love to fly with you
And sail away around, like you
It looks like so much fun

But alas! I don't have your graceful charms
Nor the beautiful wings, just these two arms
are all I have got, designed to walk around
My human feet must touch the ground

Then she spoke to me through her mind mysteriously
And told her wish

She said I would love to walk around all day
Just walk on God's Earth with you
To squish it's mud between the toes
And touch my nose with my fingers

I'd love just once to walk around
with human feet to touch the ground
But all I have is these wings
Nor the legs that swings and long arms with fingers

And we went our separate ways
In wonder and surprise
For we both have seen God's precious gift
through someone else's eyes.......

Inspired by a true incident. Some of the lines in the poem are from the poem that I read some time back..:)
